Court rules on suit seeking Soludo’s disqualification Nov 30

In the suit marked, FHC/ABJ/CS/711/2021, the applicants contended that Soludo indicated, in the affidavit, that he was contesting the Aguata 2 Constituency seat when, in fact, he was contesting the Anambra governorship seat.

Defendants in the suit are INEC, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Soludo and Ibezim.

In their final submission, the plaintiffs’ lawyers, A. O. Ijeri and Kelvin Okoko, argued that having indicated the wrong seat he was contesting, Soludo supplied INEC with false information, violated extant legal provisions and ought to be disqualified.

So, Soludo didn't know the seat he was contesting for when he provided information to INEC?

What manner of carelessness is this?

Tomorrow now, if the court disqualifies him some people would shout FG, Federal might or APC forgetting that some mistakes could be costly.

The police and VIO had to redo the documentations they prepared for me in the past due to the mistakes they made in spite of their abeg to manage them with the errors. I refused to collect the documents knowing fully well that those documents could cause serious problems in future when security agents or even the same VIO that issued them come across the documents.

We take a lot of things for granted in this country and when people insist on doing things the right way all manner of allegations and accusations would begin to come up.

How could something as important as providing information concerning an election you are interest in contesting have this type of mistake? “
