It was a grand display of love to his constituents as the Member representing Uyo/Uruan/Nsit Atai/Ibesikpo Asutan Federal Constituency, Rt Hon. Michael Enyong showered them with cash gifts and feasted with the people in their number.

The lovefeast held at the 2021 edition of the Christmas Carol Concert organized by the Federal Lawmaker at his Ewet Housing Residence on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2021.

The love-filled event, which brimmed with merriment, gradually turned out to be an all-night unforgettable experience with the presentation of wheelchairs to both physically challenged men and women by the Wife of the lawmaker, Mary-Grace.

In his remark, Enyong averred that the Christmas season is a special time to spread love to all and sundry irrespective of one's financial status, noting that love can also be expressed through one's inactions and words.

He urged the people to take a cue from his kindnesses, explaining that his philanthropic gestures spring out from his heart and not as a result of the abundance of his resources. He promised to do more for the people.

On her part, Mrs Enyong thanked God for granting the people the grace to witness yet another Christmas.

"As long as you are alive to witness this Christmas, there's no need to be sad. You should be joyful because Christ came to give us hope. Baba Ntan is also here to give you hope," she encouraged.

Mrs Enyong, who also distributed wrappers and cash gifts specially to the women, reiterated her intense commitment, and that of her spouse to women empowerment. She called on the people to show and reciprocate love to others this Christmas season.

The event also featured exhortation by Rev Chris Effiong and Apostle Isreal Chukwuemaka, cutting of Christmas cake, music ministrations from different denominational choirs, special ministrations, choreography, and drama performances.

In attendance at the event were political stakeholders, religious leaders, traditional leaders, men, women, youths and children from the Constituency.
