The Catholic Bishop of Uyo Diocese, Dr. John Ebebe Ayah has described the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno as a very disciplined and good spirited man.
Bishop Ayah, in his remarks during the 2022 Parish Choir Week thanksgiving at Christ the King Cathedral Parish, Uyo, expressed admiration at the governorship hopeful saying his credibility will speak for him especially in the forthcoming election.
According to him, "the few times you have been with us, you have really done so well. I like the way you stated that if it pleases the Lord for me to serve my people. Being a God-fearing man, leave that in the hands of God, God will make the final decision. So what I have seen in you, keep up that good spirit, and your credibility will speak for you. It is your credibility that people are looking out for, and your credibility is quite good and enviable. I wish you the very best."
Earlier in his remarks, Pastor Eno commended the Catholic Church for sustaining it's age long cherished coordination, organization and discipline adding that such, if applied to the social circle, would add great value to the society.
Pastor Eno said he was excited to identify with the Catholic choir, recalling his days at St. Francis Secondary school, Eket and his love for the Catholic hymns, saying he was glad to be invited to be part of the choir thanksgiving.
"I am glad to identify with the choir, and without the choir, for me, there would be no church because a lot of things in the church are done by the choir. One of the things you can't take from the Catholic Church is organization, and discipline. As Christians, we should continue to imbibe this discipline, for a better society.
"I thank the Catholic Church for preserving the heritage of the church, because without the Catholic Church, I don't know where the church would have been today," he added.
He therefore prayed that God will continue to increase the church with wisdom for greater services to humanity and to the glory of God.
