Cattles In Nigeria Seems To Be More Treasured Than Human.

This is so, due to the fact that, owners of Cattle failed to Imbibe the modern technology of building ranches for their livestock.

Rearing the cattle has sometimes resulted in conflicts between farmers and the cattle herders own to the fact that, the Animal ravage farmlands, destroying crops valued at millions of Naira leaving the farmers devastated by such loses.

From Borno, Benue, Ondo, Cross River, and some parts of Akwa Ibom like Itu, Ikono, and Mkpat Enin Local Government area, this has been the gnawing issue.

One may wonder, the boldness of a herdsman, brandishing an AK 47 riffle threatening to kill or kill any farmer who frowns at the destruction of their farm produce.

The families of Chief Ime Titus Thompson in Itu local government Area are still licking their wounds following the last conflicts between farmers in the community and the herders.

Some members of the family had to find solace else where to safeguard their life's and property

One of the children, Mr. Umoh Thompson through the help of a good samaritan found himself in Germany to escape the danger.

We pray as the next administration in Nigeria will be inaugurated, come 29th of may, 2023.

Livestock businesses should be operated to meet up global standard of ranching the cattle for proper breeding to aid curb incessant friction between the herders and the farmers.
