These are questions that all APC women should ask ourselves if we want to see women put
in top key positions in the coming elections this year and in the 2027 election for our dear
party. What should we do as a party to give women at least 35% reserved seat in
government at local and National levels of government.
1) Is there financial support such as loans available for women to access easily to run
for political office in government?
Is there funding for campaigns equally distributed
to female and male candidates equally shared?
2) Are women politicians visible on media networks or supported by the media as much
as their male counterpart’s?
3) Are women given platforms to debate their male counterpart’s if contesting for the
same public positions?
4) Are there stringent discrimination policies and procedures in place to protect women
taking part in politics at state and national levels?
5) Are there enough women already in politics who have excelled in their field and are
role models to other aspiring female politicians?
6) Are there programs in place at state and national levels to support aspiring women to
get into politics?
7) Why is it not compulsory for women to be given deputy or assistant positions in
positions where men are chair?
If out of these 7 questions above you cannot say YES, or that measures are in place for at
least 3 of the questions, then you will agree that we need to collectively promote this
campaign for more women to be given key positions in our party at both federal and state
levels.
