DR. MARY MENA AKPOGUMA OKUOMOSE, CHAMPIONING WOMEN’S INCLUSION IN POLITICS, GALVANISING SUPPORT FOR PRESIDENT TINUBU’S 2027 MANDATE

By Victor Adedeji

In the unfolding narrative of Nigeria’s democracy, one woman stands as a beacon of courage, vision and inclusivity: Dr. Mary Mena Akpoguma Okuomose, Founder and National Leader of Wovov Worldwide. With her exceptional academic achievements and international leadership experience, Dr Okuomose is reshaping the political space by championing women’s inclusion in governance and mobilising massive grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Through the groundbreaking initiative, “50 Million Wovov Women Votes,” Dr Okuomose is empowering women across Nigeria and the diaspora to take ownership of the nation’s future. She affirms the timeless wisdom of Aristotle: “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” By uniting millions of women under a common purpose, she is creating not only a voting bloc but also a powerful voice in national leadership.

A staunch believer in Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Dr Okuomose draws from John Maxwell’s philosophy that “everything rises and falls on leadership.” She asserts that the President’s bold policies on economic revival, security reform and infrastructural renewal require continuity in 2027, with women playing a decisive role in sustaining these gains.

Her advocacy goes beyond political support. It is a clarion call for equity, participation and empowerment. Echoing the words of Eleanor Roosevelt, she reminds women that “the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” For Dr Okuomose, that dream is a Nigeria where women are not mere spectators but active architects of governance.

She consistently drives home the truth captured by Plato: “One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.” To her, women must rise not only to vote but also to lead, to legislate and to govern.

With her leadership in Wovov Worldwide, Dr Mary Mena Akpoguma Okuomose is building a transformative legacy: one where women’s inclusion is not a token, but a necessity for Nigeria’s democratic growth.

As she often declares: “When women rise, nations prosper.” And in mobilising women for Tinubu’s 2027 victory, she is proving that inclusivity is not just the future of politics; it is the hope of Nigeria.
